Used Car Japan Agent is operated by the company below, which is responsible for your personal information.
What we collect
When you send an enquiry: your email address or WhatsApp number, your name if you give it, the car, destination, budget and other details you write, the language of the page and the time you sent it.
To protect the form from abuse, we also keep a coded identifier derived from your network address for 30 days.
When you visit: Google Analytics records the pages you view and general information about your device. Outside the EEA, the UK and Switzerland it uses cookies; within them it runs without cookies. Your language and currency choices are saved in your browser.
How we use it
To answer your enquiry, prepare the proposals you ask for and keep a record of our conversation; to send you a copy of your enquiry; and to keep this website secure and understand how it is used overall. We do not sell your information or use it for advertising.
If you allow it when sending an enquiry, we show its car and destination country, without your name or contact details, under “Recent enquiries” on this website for up to 90 days.
Who handles it for us
- XServer Inc. (Japan) runs the server that stores enquiries and sends our emails.
- Cloudflare, Inc. (United States) delivers this website and passes your enquiry to our server.
- Discord Inc. (United States) receives a notification of each enquiry, including your contact details, so our team can reply quickly.
- Google LLC (United States) provides Google Analytics and the email service our team uses.
These companies protect data with their own security measures and terms, but the United States does not have privacy laws equivalent to Japan’s. Japan’s Personal Information Protection Commission publishes information about them. By sending an enquiry, you agree to this transfer.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are deleted from our server three years after they are sent. Copies in our email and chat tools are deleted when they are no longer needed.
Your rights
You can ask us to disclose, correct or delete your information, or to stop using it, and send us questions or complaints about how we handle it, by writing to the email address above. We will reply without undue delay once we have confirmed it is you.
Changes to this policy
We update this page when our handling of personal information changes.
